Passion of the Pants

Time and date... ahh... that's what was going on. For some reason the time is off by 3 hours on my posts.

Anyway... I TOLD you that movie was boring. I mean really, you can only be horrified for so long. And Fables 9? So freakin' good!!!! So is 1001 Nights of Snowfall, which I also treated myself to for my b-day. You do, however, realize that Flycatcher is the most depressing fable ever. Frau Totenkinder is still bad-ass though.

So, the pants. I called Petsmart today, and their system had finally worked itself out so that I can start work as a cashier tomorrow. All I needed were some khaki pants.

I f**king hate Ithaca. I spent 3 1/2 hours looking for khaki pants. Turns out, Ithaca doesn't want to stock pants right now. They've got capris. I have never, ever, seen an adult in this town wear capris. So I went store to store in the mall. Target has 1 kind of khaki pant. In size 4, 6, 10, 16, and 18, because everyone in this stupid town is too retarded to restock anything. The 10s were too small. So I went to Old Navy. Nothing. Went to our pitiful excuse for a Sears. They had some Land's End pants, the kind where the pockets are cut right on your hip and make you look like you're a disproportionate fertility goddess. Gap was having a huge sale, so their selection was totally picked over. Aeropostal had nothing. So, I went to Kmart. They have 2 styles, one that hits your waist and one that hits "just below it". Both made me look like my mother. They also had stretch khakis with an elastic waist, so I could instead look like my Grandmother. Huzzah. Wal-Mart had the same brand. At this point, I had been to every store in town I could think of, and was starting to get desperate. I hit the mall for one last desperation play, because after that I'd have to drive an hour to Syracuse. I went to Gap again and basically tore the store apart. I found some straight leg khakis under a pile of black pants, and some of the boyfriend trousers shoved behind a row of shirts. Thankfully, those fit, so I can go to work tomorrow.

So now, the pants are safely in the wash. The new Vegetarian Times has 4 differnt veggie burger recipies, so I'm giving one a shot for dinner tonight. Hopefully, work tomorrow will go better than finding clothes for it did.
